Jotain uutta Something new

Muutokset isovanhempien taloon on vielä tekemättä, mutta olen tehnyt jo joitakin uusia tavaroita sinne.

I haven`t done any changes to the grandparents´ home yet, but I have done some new things.

Tälläisiä lipastoja olen nähnyt monessa blogissa viime aikoina. Päätin kokeilla myös sellaista, koska ihastuin siihen.

This kind of furniture I have seen on many blogs lately. I decided to try it too, because I liked it.

Lipaston materiaalina käytin valmiiksi maalattua säleverholistaa. Jalat tein Japanista saamistani syömäpuikoista. Maalasin jalat tummanruskeiksi akryylimaalilla.

I made it from painted wooden blinds. The legs are from Japanese chopsticks. I painted the legs with  brown acrylic paint.

En ole koskaan ollut kovinkaan kiinnostunut käsinkirjonnasta, mutta päätin kokeilla, josko onnistuisin tekemään jotain nättiä.

I haven´t ever been interested in hand embroidery, but I decided to try, if I could do something pretty.

Asusteita Accessories

Sää on viilennyt ja nyt tarvitaan aamuisin jo lämpimiä vaatteita.

The temperature has become cooler and cooler each day. You need warm clothes in the mornings, f.ex a scarf and beret.

Huivi ja baskeri on neulottu. Sain niihin idean Liisan blogista, mutta baskerin tein omien kokeilujeni pohjalta.

The scarf and beret has been knitted. I got the idea from Liisas blog, but the beret is made according to my own experiments.

Näistä tuli Mariannelle sopivat asusteet.
Kukkavaasissa on kultapiiskuja. Ne ovat aika kivan näköisiä.

They are perfect for Marianne.
There are goldenrods in the vase. They are nice.

Isovanhempien talo Grandparents´ house

Sain tälläisen talon kesällä. Se on käytetty, mutta uuden veroinen. Siitä tulee isovanhempien talo. Muutan talon etuseinää ainakin ikkunoiden ja verannan osalta. Talo on nyt vanhan televisiotason päällä ja sitä on helppo käännellä, koska tasossa on alla pyörät.

I got this house in the summer. It is old, but like a new one. It will become a house for the grandparents. I´ll change the front wall of the house, at least for the windows and verandas. The house is on an old TV table and it is easy to turn owing to the weels under the table.

Väliseinät ovat mielestäni väärässä kohdassa. Oikeassa reunassa olevat huoneet ovat liian kapeita.

The walls between the rooms are not in the right place. The rooms in the right side of the house are too narrow.

 

Siirsin jo väliseiniä 5 senttiä ja nyt huonejako on mielestäni parempi.  En asenna portaikkoja ollenkaan, vaan suljen reijät. Aion tehdä myös ullakolle väliseinän.

I moved the wall already 5 cms and the rooms are now bigger. I am going to make a wall also in the attic.

Vaihto Swap

Tavaranvaihto on kiva tapa saada uusia tavaroita nukkekotiin. Sain tällä viikolla Soyokolta Japanista ihania tavaroita. Tämä Paratiisi-astiasto sopii suomalaiseen makuun.

Swaps are a nice way to get new things into your dollhouse. I got this week lovely miniatures from  Soyoko from Japan. We Finns love Paratiisi-dishes. (Paradise)

Nämä kulhot ja lautanen ovat täysin eri tyylisiä. Niissä on itämainen kuviointi. En tiedä mistä materiaalista ne on tehnyt, ehkä pahvista.

These bowls and plate are totally of different style. They are of oriental style. I am not sure of their material. perhaps cardboard.

Erityisen mieluisia minulle ovat kaikenlaiset helmet. Näistä pystyy askartelemaan monta pientä minitavaraa. Näytän teille myöhemmin, mitä niistä on syntynyt.

I love especially these beads. I can make many small miniatures of these. I´ll show you later, what I have done of them.

Bambu syömäpuikot ovat rakentamismateriaalia huonekalujen teossa. Aion käyttää näitä huonekalujen jaloiksi.

Bamboo chopsticks are perfect in furniture makin. I am going to make furniture feet from them.


Syksy on onneksi saapunut meille Suomeen. Kesä oli mielestäni aivan liian kuuma. En tykännyt siitä yhtään. Sovimme Soyokon kanssa tavaravaihdosta jo alkukesällä, mutta lähetin tekemäni tavarat hänelle vasta tällä viikolla, joten hän ei ole saanut niitä vielä. Näette sitten parin viikon kuluttua, mitä tein hänelle.

I am so glad that summer is over and autumn is here to stay. The summer was too hot for me. I did not like it at all. The swap between Soyoko and me was agreed already in June, but I finished and sent my miniatures this week. That is why she hasn´t received them yet. You´ll see after a couple of weeks what I sent her.
