Makuuhuone Master bedroom

There are usually the same interior textiles in the master bedroom than today. And this room has not been usually decorated for Christmas at all. But today mother added some old things there.

Muistatko ikkunalla riippuvan sydänkoristeen? Entä poro kynttilänjalan? Löydät tekemäni ohjeet täältä ja täältä.

Do you remember the hanging heart ornamet? Or the reideer candle holder? The tutorials are here and here.

Sängyllä oleva virkattu peitteen olen tehnyt haarukkavirkkaus-tekniikalla. Se on aika vähän käytetty tekniikka. Sängyn yläpuolelle on ripustettu kranssi, joka tuo vähän väriä huoneeseen.

The crocheted bedspread is made by using a rare technique called hairpinlace. On the wall there is a wreath that brings a little bit color to the room.

Meillä Suomessa tarvitaan aina villasukkia. Ja nyt tietenkin myös suklaakonvehteja.Tarvitset vain vielä hyvän kirjan. Ja kaikki on kunnossa.

We need always a pair of woolen socks in Finland. And now of course a box of chocolates. You just need a good book. And everything is fine.

    1. Makkari on vähän liiankin söpö vaalean punaisen värin vuoksi, mutta minähän en siellä nuku, joten ....
      Kiitos kommentistasi!

    1. Thank you very much! I tried exactly that. But I did not know how to say in English. You know I'm not a linguistically talented person.

  6. Sirkka,

This master bedroom looks a little bit playful with all the pink, but also elegant and cozy. I am a great fan of the reindeer-candle-ornament and the christmas wreath. I love christmas wreaths in general. The Periwinkles have one in their kitchen and they will have another one on the door of the Water Mill Bakery.

    Kind regards,
    Nina

    1. Nina,
The bedroom was the first room I started to build and decorate many years ago. It was difficult to decide, which style or era would be perfect for me. I was interested in many styles. I did not spend time planning the interior at all.
I love wreats in general, too and hope The Periwinkles will get their wreat on the door very soon.

  7. Lovely master bedroom, Sirkka! The combination of pink and cream colours looks fantastic. It feels very warm and cozy. The Christmas decoration you added suit it perfectly. I especially like the wreath hanging on the wall, it looks so elegant and the reindeer candle holder. Great tutorial! Beautiful crochet blanket and cushion. I love the detail of the wollen socks. I guess it must be very cold in Finland at this time of the year. That books of chocolates looks lovely in the outside and yummy in the inside. I would love to have a room like this!

    1. Thank you Cutata for your comment. The weather in Finland can be very cold at this time of the year. Or not. We had yesterday -3 degrees, but in the north of Finland they had -32 degrees. There are big changes in the different parts of Finland.
