Viikonloppuna In the weekend

Toivottavasti teillä kaikilla oli upea viikonloppu. Viikonloppuna vietettiin tietenkin isänpäivää. Äiti ja lapset olivat kattaneet isälle terveellisen aamiaisen.

I hope you all had a great weekend. We celebrated Fathers Day in the weekend. In Finland it is not celebrated as widely as Mothers Day in May. Mother and the children had laid the table with healthy breakfast for dad.

 Äiti oli leiponut kaurasämpylöitä, karjalanpiirakoita, juustosarvia ja kiiwipiirakan.

Mother had baked oats buns, rice pies, croissants and a kiwitart. 

Isälle annettiin lumiukkokortti ja suklaarasia.  Iltapäivällä perhe oleskeli olohuoneessa ja söi lasten tekemää hedelmäjälkiruokaa.

Father got a snow man card and  a box of chocolates. In the afternoon the family was sitting in the living room and ate fruit desserts made by the children.

 Isä on usein viikonloppuisin töissä, mutta nyt hänellä oli vapaapäivä. Miten kivaa.

 Father is often on weekends at work, but now he had a day off. How nice.

Eetu hoputti muita perheenjäseniä syömään jälkiruuan nopeasti. Hän olisi halunnut pelata isän kanssa tietokonepeliä. 

Eetu urged the other family members to eat their dessert quickly. He would have wanted to play with his father a computer game.

"Istu sinäkin Eetu syömään nyt ja rauhoitu.  Peli ja tietokone kyllä jaksavat odottaa teitä."

"Eetu sit down and take it easy, please. The game and computer are waiting for you for sure."
