Tuoreita kukkia Fresh flowers

 

Kevään saapuminen on ehdottomasti yksi ihanin asia. Kevääseen liittyy luonnon herääminen. Pienet kukat pyrkivät mullasta esiin. Viime päivinä olemme saaneet hieman lunta ja rakeitakin, mutta nämä keltaiset kukat ovat säilyneet. 

The arrival of spring is definitely one of the most wonderful things. Spring is associated with the awakening of nature. Small flowers tend to emerge from the soil. In the last few days, we’ve gotten some snow and grain, but these yellow flowers have survived.

 

Marianne rakastaa tuoreita kukkia ihan samalla tavalla kuin minäkin. Niitä on ihana poimia maljakkoon ja ne säilyvät hyvin, jos muistaa kaataa maljakkoon riittävän usein vettä. Marianne nauttii ompeluhuoneessaan kupillisen teetä ja syö Emilian leipoman donitsin.

Marianne loves fresh flowers just like me. They are wonderful to pick up in a vase and will keep well if you remember to pour water into the vase often enough. Marianne enjoys a cup of tea in her sewing room and eats a donut baked by Emilia.

Asusteita Accessories

Sää on viilennyt ja nyt tarvitaan aamuisin jo lämpimiä vaatteita.

The temperature has become cooler and cooler each day. You need warm clothes in the mornings, f.ex a scarf and beret.

Huivi ja baskeri on neulottu. Sain niihin idean Liisan blogista, mutta baskerin tein omien kokeilujeni pohjalta.

The scarf and beret has been knitted. I got the idea from Liisas blog, but the beret is made according to my own experiments.

Näistä tuli Mariannelle sopivat asusteet.
Kukkavaasissa on kultapiiskuja. Ne ovat aika kivan näköisiä.

They are perfect for Marianne.
There are goldenrods in the vase. They are nice.

Vierashuone The guest room

Olen virkannut kesällä isoäidinneliöistä tyynyjä vierashuoneeseen. Tykkään tyynyjen väristä. Mutta voitteko uskoa, että löysin puutarhastani juuri saman värisiä kukkia? Itse asiassa ne ovat purppuraheisiangervon siemenkotia. Eikö ole ihania?

I have crocheted cushions of granny squares in the summer. I like the colors of them. But can you believe, I found flowers of the same color in my garden. Actually they are seedcases of Physocarpus opulifolius 'Diabolo'.

Amppelissa on nyt myös samoja kukkia.

There are same flowers in the hanging flower pot, too.

Tapetti on edelleen liian vaalea, mutta jossain vaiheessa vaihdan tilalle hieman tummemman.

The wallpaper is still too light, but I will change it to a slightly darker one some day.

Sängyllä on toinen virkkaamani tyyny. Jostain syystä tykkään tuosta tummasta punaisesta sisustuksessa juuri nyt. Sitä on yöpöytien pöytälampuissakin. Ne olen tehnyt muutama vuosi sitten.

The another crochet cushion is on the bed. For some reason I love that dark red color in the interior just now. The tablelamps are of the same color. I made them some of years ago.

Kukkakimppu Bouquet

 Olohuoneen pöydällä on taas uusi kukkakimppu.

There is a new bouquet on the table of the living room.

 Vaasissa on tällä kertaa pensaista poimittuja kukkia. Vaalean punaiset kukat ja pienet marjat ovat Lumimarjapensaasta. Kerman väriset vielä nupussa olevat kukat ovat Likusterisyreenin nuppuja.

This time the flowers are from bushes. The pink flowers and tiny berries are from

Symphoricarpos albus. The cream buds are from Syringa reticulata.

Tanssilavan rakennustyöt eivät ole edistyneet. Puutarhassa on riittänyt töitä, koska lähes joka päivä sataa ja rikkaruohot kasvavat nopeasti.
Poimin nämä kukat tänään. Tunnistatko ne? 

Unfortunately I haven´t had time to continue the dance hall. There has been so much work in my garden, because it has rained almost every other day. The weeds have grown too fast. 
I picked these flowers today. Do you regognize them?

Ruoholaukka, Lehtohorsma ja Hiiren virna. Aika kivan näköisiä, vai mitä?

 Allium schoenoprasum, Epilóbium montánum ja Vicia crácca. They look very nice, or what?

Tuoreita kukkia Fresh flowers

 On ihanaa, että nyt voi puutarhasta ja tienpientareelta poimia tuoreita kukkia vaikka joka päivä. 

Tykkään erityisen paljon lemmikeistä, varsinkin sinisistä.

 It is wonderful that we can now pick fresh flowers from the garden and the roadsides every day, if we want.
I love Forget-me-not-flowers, especially the blue ones.

Kasveja Plants

Kasvien maailma on ihmeellinen. Olen todennut sen jälleen kerran kulkiessani metsässä. Löysin nämä nukkekotiin sopivat kasvit sieltä. Yleensä tämän kasvin lehdet ovat yksivärisiä vihreitä. Kyseessä on ikivihreä kasvi. Vasemman puoleinen kasvi on harvinainen kirjavalehtinen, jota löysin vain yhden oksan. Tämä on aito variegata-versio. Oikealla puolella on puolestaan punertava kasvi, jossa uudet lehdet ovat vaalean vihreän ja punertavan kirjavia ja muuttuvat kesän edetessä vihreiksi. Kyseessä on puolukka. Tunnistitko?

The world of plants is marvelous. I found it once again as I walked in the forest. I found these potty plants suitable for the dollhouse. In general, the leaves of this plant are monochromatic green. It's an evergreen plant. The left-hand plant is a rare variegata one, which I found only one branch. This is a genuine variegata version. On the right side is a reddish plant where new leaves are pale green and reddish, and will change as the summer progresses to green. It's a lingonberry. Did you recognize it?

Edistystä Some progress

Emilia ja minä olemme puuhailleet salaisessa puutarhassa. Maalasin laattojen värin hieman ruskeammksi. Eikö näytäkin nyt paremmalta?

Emily and I have been working in the secret garden. I painted the tiles with brown. So they look out little better. What do you think?

Istutimme myös muutamia uusia kasveja.

We also planted some new plants.

En olisi ikinä uskonut, että tämä on niin inspiroiva projekti. Idean siihen sain Hanna Merosen blogista. Olin niin hänen kasviensa lumoissa, että oli ihan pakko kokeilla istuttaa kasveja itsellekin. Tykkään kukista ja kasveista oikeassakin elämässä, joten tähän oli helppo lähteä mukaan.

I couldn´t have ever believed that this could be such an inspiring project. I got the idea from Hanna Meronen. I was fascinated by her plants and I had to try to plant real plants for myself too. I love flowers and plants also in my real life, so the project was easy to get involved.

 Kasvien ihastelu on aloitettava heti aamulla ja vielä ennen nukkumaan menoa on niitä vilkaistava. Voitteko uskoa tätä?

I have to admire the plants in the morning and in the evering I have to glance them before I go to sleep. Can you believe this?
 

Arvelemme Emilian kanssa, että ruukkuihin istutetut kasvit saattavat kuolla, koska niissä multatila on valtavan pieni ja multa kuivuu muutamassa tunnissa.Olemme kuitenkin päättäneet istuttaa sitten aina uusia, koska salainen puutarha on kiehtova.

Emily and I think, that the plants in the pots may die, because there is so little space for the soil in the pots. The soil dries within a few hours.  We have decided to plant new plants, if needed. The secret garden is fascinating

Emilian salainen puutarha syntyi oikeista kasveista rikkoutuneeseen posliiniastiaan.

Emily´s secret garden is made in a broken porcelain bowl by using real plants.

 

 Miniatyyripuutarhat oikeilla kasveilla ovatkin aika lumoavia.

Miniature gardens with real plants are very charming.

Puutarha on vielä keskeneräinen, mutta Emilia on minun lisäkseni niin puutarhan lumoissa, että näytämme teille sen nyt. Laattoja täytyy vähän tummentaa maalaamalla, koska näyttävät niin oransseilta.

The garden is not yet ready, but Emily and I want to show it to you today. The tiles must be darkened a little bit by painting, because they are too orange.

Luonnossa on valtavan paljon kauniita pieniä kasveja, jotka ovat sopivia miniatyyripuutarhaan.

There are a lot of beautiful small plants in the nature that are perfect for a miniature garden.

On mielenkiintoista nähdä, kuinka kauan kasvit pysyvät hengissä. Kaksi viikkoa on mennyt ja toistaiseksi suurin osa kasveista voi hyvin.

It is interesting to see how long will the plants be alive. Two weeks have passed now and almost all the plants are well.

Kukkia Flowers

Tunnistatko nämä kukat? Ne on poimittu ojanpientareelta. Kukat eivät ole vielä auenneet ja sen vuoksi nämä eivät ole niin helposti tunnistettavissa, mutta kukkien auettua ne tunnistaa helposti. Nämä ovat Niittyleinikkejä.

Do you recognize these flowers? They have been picked up from the ditch. The buds have not opened yet, and therefore they are not so easily recognizable, but when you see the flowers you recognize them easily. They are Ranunculus acris-flowers.

Entä tunnistatko nämä? Nämä ovat Pihlajan kukkia ja ne eivät tuoksu hyvälle.

How about these flowers? They are from  the Mountain ash tree and the smell isn´t good

Kesä on vihdoinkin saapunut.  Kaikkialla on ihania kukkia vaasiin laitettavaksi.

The summer has finally arrived. There are a lot of lovely flowers everywhere.You have to pick up them into a vase.  Aren´t these flowers lovely?

Tulppaaneja tänäänkin Tulips also today

Tein tulppaaneja myös tänään. Kukat ovat Hurauskadun vaaseissa. Kiitos niistä vielä.

Meillä on vielä maa lumen peitossa ja öisin on aika kylmä. Äiti on neulonut sinisen peitteen, sillä hän on usein viluinen. Aurinko on vihdoinkin ilmestynyt taivaalle ja paistaa. Tästä syystä mieli tekee hankkia keväisiä kukkia. Tulppaanit kukkivat omassa puutarhassa vasta toukokuussa, mutta nukkekotiin niitä on helppo tehdä paperista.

 There is still snow on the ground and it is pretty cold at nights. Mother has knitted a blue blanket, because she has very often cold. The sun is finally shining  and it has appered on the sky. That is why it is nice to buy spring flowers. The tulips in the garden will bloom not earlier than in may, but is it easy to make tulips from paper for the dollhouse.

Nämä tulppaanit ovat äidin ompeluhuoneessa. Siellä on myös uusin Nukkekoti-lehti äidin ompelukorin vieressä. Korissa on tarpeellisia tavaroita kuten mittanauha, sakset, nappeja, lankaa, pitsiä ja nauhoja.

These tulips are in mother´s sewing room. There is also the latest Dollhouse Magazine on the table next to mother´s sewing basket.  (The magazine is published by the Finnish Dollhouse Association.)There are necessary goods such as measuring tape, scissors, buttons, thread, lace and ribbons in the basket.

 Lehti on jäänyt pöydälle ja Emilia huomaa sen. Hänellä on nukkekoti omassa huoneessaan ja hän on kiinnostunut myös lehdestä hyvin paljon. Eniten häntä kiinnostavat ohjeet, mutta usein ne ovat hänen ikäiselleen vielä liian vaikeita. Äidin kanssa voidaan yhdessä tehdä uusia tavaroita sitten, kun äiti ehtii. Äiti on virkannut Emilialle TV katsellessaan puseron. Emilian mielestä se on kiva.

The magazine has been left on the table and Emily notices it. She has a dollhouse of her own in her room and she is interested also in the magazine very much. She likes the tutorials most but they are very often too difficult for her. She will make new goods with mother, when she will have time. Mother has crocheted a new lace sweater for Emily when watching TV. Emily likes it very much.

Joulukalenterin 5., 6. ja 7. luukku

5. päivän paketista Jenna sai omenapiirakan ja keittokirjan. (Ne on tehnyt Marian kirjan mukaan.)

On the 5th of December Jenna got an apple pie an a cook book. (I made them according to Maria´s tutorials.)

6. päivän paketista Jenna löysi Suomen itsenäisyyspäivään sopivia tavaroita. (Kynttilänjalka on tehty Marian kirjan ohjeella. Väri on vaan toinen.)

On the 6th of December Jenna found white and blue goods for the celebrations of our Independence Day in her parcel. (The chandelier is made according to Maria´s tutorial. The colour of it is white instead of red.)

Tänään hänen paketissaan oli pelargonia ja pieni liina.

Today she got a geranium and a small table cloth.

Verenpisara Fuchsia

   Verenpisara on pysynyt vuodesta toiseen yhtenä lempikasveistani.

Fuchsia is one of my favourite flowers year after year.

 Istutin kukan siniseen kukkaruukkuun, josta tykkään ihan valtavasti.

I planted the fuchsia into a blue pot, that I like very much.

Tein minikokoisen verenpisaran Bonnie Lavish -kitistä. Se oli yllättävän helppo tehdä. Otin osista kuvan, koska saattaa olla sellaisia nukkekotiharrastajia, jotka eivät tälläisistä laserleikatuista osista ole tehneet kukkia. Tässä olen irroittanut osat paperiarkeista ja muotoillut terälehtiä ja lehtiä kaareviksi sekä maalannut varsien kärjet. Olen ostanut kitin ja sinisen kukkaruukun  Doloresista.

I made the fuchsia from Bonnie Lavish -kit. It was quite easy to make it owing to lasercut petals and leaves. Here you can see the shape of the petals and leaves. I have bought the kit and the pot from Dolores.
